I went to individual therapy with Julie and did the 20 week DBT program with Cindy. Both therapists are amazing women who really did help me change my entire life around. Before I entered therapy I was lost, stuck, and feeling helpless. DBT was a real game changer for me, I’ve done all sorts of therapy in the past (including going to a therapeutic boarding school, hypnosis, brain wave therapy, etc. etc. etc.) and nothing really stuck for me.

The thing with DBT is, you don’t talk about your problems very much, you mostly talk about how to find new ways to resolve the problems you have. In the past when I would react poorly to situations, it would create a second problem for me. The first problem would become engulfed in my emotional response. DBT takes away the instant emotional response and allows you to take a step back and think about how you want to proceed. I am so grateful to have my life back, I have very little day to day anxiety. Because of DBT, I am living in my own apartment with no roommates or partner for the first time (I’m 28) in my entire life, and I feel more confident and capable than I ever have in the past.

Thank you so much Julie and Cindy for all the hard work you guys do, and for putting so much care and effort into each session. I highly recommend DBT for those who have BPD, anxiety, or even depression.

I have been seeing Julie Espinoza-Malm for about a year now for borderline personality disorder and depression and have been able to make immense progress thanks to her help.

I like how I am taught how to deal with problems and my emotions rather than only being told how to deal with a specific problem that I have going on at that moment. It’s like being taught how to fish rather than being given a fish.

The texting service they provide to contact her when help is needed inbetween sessions is incredibly helpful and she always replies to texts in a timely manner. It is a very nice and needed perk to have.

I was taught DBT by Cynthia, who is very knowledgeable about DBT and teaches it very well, along with being very skillful at guiding people through meditation at the beginning of the DBT group sessions.

The reception desk workers are very kind and professional along with being very organized. I get nervous talking to people and the receptionist desk workers being this way is an immense help in easing those anxieties.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone dealing with emotional regulation or mood issues.
